Nicaragua Hunting Adventures offer two different places for you to do some Amazing Jungle fishing. Each one has its own pro's and con's, so just read up on each one, then choose for yourself what will fit best into your budget and time frame. Both places are amazing for Tarpon, Snook, and Rainbow Bass, also know as Peacock Bass.

Our two places we offer is the Montecristo Lodge and the Rio Indio Lodge. The main difference is the logistics of the two places. While the Montecristio Lodge is a lot closer to Managua, the Rio Indio Lodge is much closer to Costa Rica, for those who want to exit or enter Nicaragua through Costa Rica. Plus the inter country flights, and schedules makes it a bit tough to schedule the hunting and fishing together. But, nothing we can not handle. Just need to read up on how much time will be required to visit either lodge, and the differences in each. 
Please remember again, if the packages below do not fit what you are looking for, please just let me know. We can customize it to meet your needs. A lot of variables go into combing a hunting and fishing package.  Cost can decrease for logistical purposes. It's all a case to case basis. The packages below are fishing only. If we combine hunting, then costs can change.

Montecristo Lodge

 7 Days / 6 Nights / 4 Days of Fishing - $ 2600.00 per person  
  • 2 nights hotel in Managua. Arrive Managua, stay that night,
  • Round trip air, ground, water transports from Managua
  • Room, all meals, all soft drinks, limited beer and Rum, (You should bring your own)

Rio Indio Lodge

3 Days / 2 Nights / 1 1/2 Days of Fishing - $ 1900.00 per person
5 Days / 4 Nights / 3 Full Days Fishing - $ 2600.00 per person
Includes: 
  • 1 night in San Jose or Managua Nicaragua.
  •  Air transfers to and from the lodge.
  •  Boats, guides, tackle, license, park permits, soft drinks and beer on the boat.
  •  8 or more hours of fishing daily, box lunches for all day trips.
  • Laundry service, open rum bar, all meals and snacks.
  • Free Wi-Fi at lobby or restaurant
Location - Travel time from Managua - approx 3 hours
Is located 43 Km down the river from San Carlos, Rio San Juan,
Nicaragua, between the jungle river port town of  Boca de Sabalos and the historic town of El Castillo. The lodge sit at the entrance of Reserva Silvestre Privada "Montecristo"a private Wild Life Refuge

How to get there - 
  • Take a flight from Managua to San Carlos - Only Tuesday and Sunday, around 20 to 30 min flight.  ( This is how we price all our packages.)
  • OPTIONAL Ground Transfer - Van or car -  approx 6 hours.
  • Take a public or private boat from San Carlos, 43km up the San Juan River to Montecristo. ( We price all public transports, if you would like private please inquire.)

  • OPTIONAL - You can choose to stay in El Castilo, and transport in to Montecristo each morning.

Location - Travel time from Managua or San Jose, Costa Rica - 2 hours
Located ony minutes from the city of Greytown, they are a few different ways you can get to the Rio Indio Lodge. We use the most direct path. The Rio Indio lies only moments from the mouth of the Caribbean Sea, on the Rio San Juan River.

How to get there - 
  • Take flight from Managua to Greytown -  1 hour 30 min, only flying two times per week.
  • Take fight from San Jose, Costa Rica, then boat ride - 1 hour, 30 min.
